I chose the Bunkers because they represented a lot of what was going on in America at the time.
You had a Conservative, patriotic, sometimes bigoted father. You had an obsequious mother who was old-fashioned. As for the her daughter Gloria and her husband Michael Stivic, you have complete opposite of her parents. You have young liberal Gloria who is open to a lot of ideas and embraces changes like Michael.
Also, episodes revolve around some sort of topic that was being debated at the time. The show was very realistic and down to Earth.
I used to love that show the wonder years. I mean, it was more of an eighties show, but they played it a little in the nineties and even though I was little I loved it. But I can't choose. I mean, they're from different times, and true to what life? True to a middle class persons life? Upper middle class persons life? They're all different. The Connors from Roseanne always seemed like they were a struggling family of the lower middle class. I just can't decide.
