Which of these retro consoles was better?

Sony just released the PS1 as a sort of an answer to Nintendo releasing the SNES mini console. But which of these classic consoles would you say was truly better?

Super Nintendo 17
Sony Playstation 7

Saving your progress onto a memory card was a huge step forward.

The original Xbox was the first console that had a hard-drive. That was arguably an even bigger step forward if you ask me.

My step mum had an Atari. My dad was shitty when she got it cos all of a sudden my brother and I were more interested in it than the Commodore 64 he had let us use previously.

He gave us a Pencil II to take home. It ran on cassette tapes. I think he got it to work once and we never did.

When she got an electric typewriter, I was beside myself with excitement, too...I was a special child. Hah.

Super Nintendo is by far the greater console. The PS1 was an overrated piece of shit tbh. Even the Genesis was better.

I don't think that's a fair comparison, both of those consoles are radically different. The SNES came out in 1991 and the ps1 came out in 1996. A better comparison would be between the PS1 and the nintendo 64.

If you're thinking about getting one of those 'mini' remake consoles though, go with snes. The ps1 'classic' was a heartless and rushed attempt by sony to garner some of those nostalgia sales. Read the reviews and you'll see.

The PS1 was a mediocre console tbh. It's successor, the PS2, was a heck-of-a lot better.

I liked gaming on my VIC-20 expanded to 8 whopping K of RAM. Only downside was I had to code most of my own games.
