"Cyber theft" isnt exactly theft, because if you steal a car, the person you stole it from doesnt have it anymore. But if you download a song from someone, the other person still has the song.
Anyway, stealing from a house is probably the worst because there are belongings which could not be replaced and mean a lot to the owners.
Some people see taking music and movies as theft, some don't. But cyber theft would include stealing bank accounts and credit card info, as well as craigslist and ebay scams, etc.
In one way it's true but if everybody thinks like that there will be no more industry. No music, no software, no books, nothing. Those who provide these services for free (i.e. open source,...) out of passion only shoot themselves in the foot because they still have to pay rent, food, transportation, their computer, musical instruments etc. So instead of being able to get income from what they love doing they are forced to get... a regular job.
