I happily admit to not being able to do it, and no, I don't say it's pathetic because I can't do it, if I wanted to I could learn from the multiple people in my family that knows how to hack, etc.
Theft is wrong all together, but doing it behind the safety of the internet is just pathetic.
I don't mean downloading sites, I mean theft from other people from the internet, scams, credit card scams, etc. Downloading isn't exactly stealing, it's copying without permission.
Grow up. Almost all acts of cyber theft are covered by insurance expect for the cases where the victim was blatantly retarded. If you send money to a person you don't know based on something they "told" you they'd do then you deserve to get ripped off. Don't be stupid and use trusted sites.
Grow up? Yeah, because thinking cyber theft is pathetic due to not actually putting yourself right in the middle of the actual crime, but doing it behind the safety of the internet is not being "grown up". Moron.
Oh, so now you're implying that if someone is idiotic enough to fall for cyber theft, then they deserve it? Great way of thinking.
And a lot of cyber theft doesn't just include giving someone money by asking for it, which I thought you would of known, but I guess not.
Sorry if I sound harsh but the bottom line is the internet has never been secure. If you put ANY information on it than your taking a risk and it's a risk you chose to take. What are these other methods of cyber theft that you're talking about? Anything involving a credit card is typically discovered and dealt with within days. Identity theft? Don't put your information on untrustworthy sites. Keyloggers and virus's? There is an abundance of free software that easily combats this problem. In a world as fucked up as we live in I find it hard to feel sorry for the people who run into problems because they did something stupid on the internet. Use a little caution and there is almost no chance of being a victim of cyber theft. That can't be said for any of the other crimes in the poll.
Sorry now I understand what you mean and yes that does piss me off it wasn't but a couple weeks ago someone in another state had stolen our credit card number but the bank cancelled when they tried to use it and we had to get a new number. Again I'm sorry I get what you are talking about now and it is pathetic that they have to hide behind their computers
Which of these crimes bothers you the most?

Cyber theft. The fact that they have to hide behind their computer to do it is pathetic.

You're only saying that cause you're not smart enough to do it yourself

Glad we come to an understanding. No need to apologize, I should of been specific on what I was talking about.
