Not really. The penchant for butter, sugar and deep frying come from French gasronomy, which will kill you fast. Italian cooking used olive oil, honey, and light sautee.
Im just upset that fresh non preservative ingredients are harder to come by these days. Sure I could get fresh fruit from the store, but it’ll be rotten in 5 days. Go out into the styx and buy some fresh fruit from the grocery store (not walmart) and it will last for twice as long

And this is only because local stores are getting from local farms in the middle of nowhere. City folk gotta wait for their shipments from the styx
