It still sounds immature, and immaturity and irresponsibility are pretty closely related. If you do pay your own way and are dependable well I commend you for doing so. That's not an easy thing to do, I would know.
Well you aren't being responsible to yourself if you're constantly abusing a controlling substance. But as you said, it's your life. I hope you don't drive while doing this.

I don't know you in real life, so I can't list any. Relying so much on pharmaceuticals is not healthy though. I would be careful about that.
