Because contracts are not valid if they involve illegal activities. Human cloning is illegal. No matter what kind of confidentiality agreements they sign they are not binding. So the whole premise just loses credibility. The whole "You can't go to the authorities because you signed this." I quit watching a while ago so I don't remember exact details.
