    I think rape is due to it's severe long-term effects on a victim.

        True, but there are some things that are worse than death and rape is one of them to me.

          What, the old "fate worse than death" crap? You're buying into the idea that it's the victim/survivor who is shamed by rape, whereas in fact it's the perpetrator who should be ashamed.

          I'd also guess you haven't been raped? Apologies if I'm wrong.
