I think there are more beautiful women than beautiful men. For me to describe a guy as being "beautiful", he would have to be very close to perfect in terms of being very muscular, tall, good posture, athletic, broad shouldered, strong jawline etc.
A girl doesn't need to be so close to perfection for me to think "wow, she's beautiful", or even close to perfection at all, to be honest. There are a lot more ways for a girl to be beautiful than for a guy to be beautiful, is what I'm saying. I think it's very difficult to separate those thoughts from sexual attraction, though. Even the word "beautiful" makes me feel completely different emotions when applied to women than to men.
EDIT: I have a feeling I've not worded this very well.
You have your opinions, and that's fine. Does it even matter if it's based on sexual attraction though? I don't remember anything in the OP saying it shouldn't be. Saying that my opinions are based on sexual attraction doesn't discredit them.
You can't quantify "beauty", anyway - it's purely subjective. You can't really provide evidenced reasons why you find one thing more beautiful than another, you can only make vague guesses. If anything, if you CAN provide evidence for it then that means you're describing something like appreciation or respect, or even awe. Maybe those things inform the majority of your view of beauty, whereas my view of beauty is more informed by something else? That doesn't make either of our opinions more or less valid.
Which form is more beautiful?
