Oh, in an episode of Last Airbender, the characters (without Zuko) were traveling in this desert to find a library to learn about the Invasion or the Comet (I think it was that) or something. As the landed (or flew, I forgot), Toph told the rest of the group that she can't bend sand.
In the Legend of Korra, I haven't seen anyone bend sand. But you may be right, because I'm not exactly sure.
And I totally forgot about blood bending. It's probably the best type of bending! You could, like, control your opponent!
Which element would you 'bend'?

You can't bend sand if you're an Earth Bender. I watched both series... and learnt that from Toph.

I'm pretty sure you can. Sand benders existed, weren't they an off-shoot of earth bending? Similar to metal bending?
Also, seriously? All these people voted water and not ONE person mentioned blood bending?
