      That's more recent history.
      But the land was promised and given to the Israelites who left Egyptian bondage. And this all before the birth of Christ.
      God drove the hivites, perrizites, jebusites (a lot of ites) out of the land and planted his people Israel (from the line of Isaac not Ishmael who are the Arabs) there. Moses passed the baton to Joshua who led them into that promised land, and the land given was more than they currently possess.
      This is written in the old testament of the Bible. Do you believe in the Bible?
