  • I worked for a couple of decades, now I'm a university student at 36 years of age.

Learning (school) is, without a doubt, way more enjoyable than slaving away for companies that don't give a shit about you.

    • And it's sooooo much fun!!

Hey, I just saw your username! True story, didn't see it before!

I went to college before and didn't really appreciate it. Working out there in the real world and trying to make ends meet really changed my perspective.

Working 8+ hours a day so you can have your young life used up and then be thrown away did not appeal to me anymore either. I love college so much that as soon as I get my Master's and Doctorate degrees I'm doing a U-turn and coming right back to rule MY classes.

  • I love learning but for me, I have much more liberation at work. plus i get money from work, so school looses.

  • I love work, but hated school people used to say to me "your school days are the best days of your life, and you'll cry to go back there". When I left school I was like a bat out of hell and I can honestly say that I've never looked back. xx

  • School, no doubt about it. "Work" is something most adults are forced into which wastes their life away and benefits a few. In return, most are given a little money which they have to give away promptly because those same few found ways to permanently indebt the "worker." You're just a slave being told what to do, when to do it and you're given a little false incentive to make you cooperate.

School, especially college, means learning and having the freedom to expand the mind and do some actual growing.

  • Work. I don't care what I'm doing, as long as I'm getting paid for it. School on the other hand, I have zero motivation to do, and is just a pain in the ass. Especially when all employers want is a degree, and couldn't care less what knowledge you know, since most jobs will teach you what you specifically have to do for it.

  • School was dreadful for me, it was a chore to go. It was more than a chore - I despised it greatly. I look forward to going to work, everyone there is my friend, it's peaceful, and I don't have to slave over textbook questions.
