You include Denmark but not Mexico (the Aztecs)? Netherlands but not Israel? And of course Egypt deserves its own option!
If you're talking about the 'old world' and "countries with a long history", you missed out quite a few!
But as you say, it's your first poll so I forgive you :) Personally I find modern history more compelling than ancient history, especially that of China and Afghanistan.
Yeah I don't know a lot about mexican history, and forgot about Egypt.
Which else did i miss out?
I would have added Egypt but not many more because the list would be too long :S
It's the opposite for me i find old history more interesting, not too old though more like 2000 BC to the 1500 AD.
That's cool. I suppose I just never feel passionate about stuff which happened so long ago. It doesn't resonate with my life now. Knowing how countries 100 years ago got to where they were now seems to be more relevant to me.
But yeah I think you got most of the big countries down. Credit for including Mongolia as well, people forget about the massive Mongolian empire.
Also North Korea's history fascinates me. Kim Jong Il may you dissolve into millions of tiny bits and get absorbed by some more impressive, towering tree.
Which country has the most interesting history?
