You could argue that the Xbox was a spiritual successor to the Dreamcast. Also, the Duke controller is a bit similar to the Dreamcast controller, except it's more advanced, including 2 analog sticks instead of 1 and more buttons. For some reason, I absolutely loved the Duke controller.

The Dreamcast was neither gen 5 or gen 6, IMO. More like generation 5.5.
