Which be harder to hear either your son/daughter say they are gay

This question is for men, but if you are A woman and want to answer this, please do.

(and please note i have nothing against people liking the same gender as them, and no matter what they shouldn't feel its a burden, specially by their parents)

Lets pretend you are a parent and your son/daughter has something to confess to you. they tell you that they are in to the same gender as they are. As A father, how would you feel? how would you react? what would you tell them?

the reason behind this test is simply because i'm curious how open minded you are as a guy. because when it comes to the daughter, its the fathers job to make sure the guys shes in to, or in to her are legit. would you be more relieved if it was the daughter who confessed this to you? or do you feel either way it be equal measure?

this test isn't just simply based on being in to the same gender. its also about the gender of them. as people, we sometimes treat genders differently. some people do, some people don't.

    Neither would be hard to hear. Its so sad that so many kids are ashamed or afraid to tell anyone, let alone their parents.

    A parent should disown their child for any reason at all. Especially if they were gay, I would continue to love my child all the same. Some parents need to understand that. Why reject them when everyone else probably has too?

    i dont even believe in all this homosexuality shit, being gay or whatever they call it , however if your son or daughter would tell you this, you shouldnt just accept this,but you shoud try to do something against that. to tell them that it is wrong to feel like and to stop thinking about being gay when its in reality doesnt even exist

    The wanting to bum another guy would be cool with me as at least he wouldn't have to put up with any psychotic women (which they all are). However it would fuck me off if he was a proper little gay boy.

    One of the things I've noticed in the area I live in is that people are way more accepting of lesbians. They seem to draw the line at accepting gay men for whatever silly reasons they have.

    Personally, I don't want kids, but if my nieces or nephews were gay, I'd accept it.

    It'd be hard to hear as I'm not really all too familiar with it and I've had friends who WERE lesbians in high school/ middle school but are now with guys , always. So I don't know if I'd even fully believe it if they were young but if they're at least 18 and tell me, I'd say wow, that's a shocker but I'll stand by you.

    -This is me as a 48 year old Father upon hearing his 18 year old daughter tell him she's a lesbian whilst cooking ham and eggs in the kitchen while her Mother is on her way home from work.
