I chose Other in my vote because the options given as to who is or isn't catty were generalized. I do understand that, it was a poll.. and you did give the option for Other & to comment about it, so here it is. It's pretty basic, but I hope I'm able to be clear about what I'm trying to say and hope to make sense :)
Everyone is a unique individual and I believe true beauty comes from within.
As far as beauty goes, I find that what's on the inside so far more important than what's on the outside.
I think a woman is beautiful no matter what she looks like on the outside if her insides are beautiful. And her insides are the most important part: her beauty shines through.
A woman who is kind, compassionate and remains open-minded to another's situation even if she doesn't understand it or agree with it, can politely and respectfully agree to disagree.
People can be on two different sides of a situation, stating their positions while remaining civil, tolerant and respectful of each others views.
Having good manners is positive energy shared with kindness: it never goes out of style.
But an outwardly "beautiful" woman that's close minded to anyone else's ideas but her own, is being very disrespectful and just doesn't care to learn about anyone else's thoughts.
She's judgemental of those who's ideas don't match hers, she's rude and condescending, she has no regard to what the other person is trying to relate to her, she's just plain nasty as she tries to steamroll over others to make sure her thoughts are known, and to hell with anyone else's.
It doesn't matter how beautiful someone is on the outside, if her insides are cold-hearted, mean and uncaring. There's no beauty there at all to shine through.
Ok, just some thoughts since I had to comment if i chose Other on the poll :)
