That One Guy.
I can understand wanting to get away from things.
But, Antartica?
Do you really want to live where you cant grow anything, and if you lose power you'd most likely die?
Why not a small island in the South pacific or bahamas.
lacka goods & services and what is available costs a fuckin fortune
endless heat giant bugs snakes tropical storms
crushin poverty and the resultin hateful natives and douchey toruists
I could grow food with an in-door greenhouse.
Why not an island? Just like donteatstuffoffthesidewalk said endless heat, giant bugs, snakes, tropical storms, hateful natives and douchey toruists. Plus I like the cold.
Thatoneguy:
your greenhouse, requires electricity.
Look into it.
Antartica actually snows little, but the snow never melts.
What tropical hell island are you going to?
Heat yes, some bugs, no snakes, no natives, no tourists.
But if you like to freeze.
thats your call.
Electricity is not hard to obtain E.G. generators, biomass, hydropower, wind turbines (my grandfather on my mothers side used that till the day he died), solar panels (have a few of those myself) & GSHPs (which is what I would use if I was in Antarctica) & if all else fails I can always hunt penguins, seals & fish.
Lloydasher:
Would you really want to survive a nuke war if it happened?
I see nukes as the biggest waste of money in the last century.
How much total money was spent by all the countries that produced a bunch of weapons.
They never used.
Build a bridge, a damn, a highway.
It gets used.
Use the same money on a nuke.
it gathers dust, somewhere.
Never been to either place, so Idk. Probably neither. I think Melbourne is still my ideal home.
Probably prefer a penthouse to a mansion, though.
I'd chose a mansion in Antarctica. Nobody to bother you there.
I wish I had one.
If I had to go for one of the two options in the OP though, I'd pick the Manhattan penthouse. I couldn't cope with the upkeep or the loneliness of living on my own in a mansion.
I just miss my little childhood home by the English seaside.
Wouldn't mind a bigger flat in the city I'm living in though. Maybe somewhere more picturesque and closer to important public transport hubs than this little student shack on the fringes of the red light district.
Neither I hate both places. Something less populated. A estate in the mountains would be perfect.
I dont like either option.
But, since you asked an A or B question.
Id choose california.
It is a zoo and terribly overcrowded.
But, its also warm and beautiful.
If I had this mansion can I assume I dont have to commute.
Traffic gets very ugly.
Why should I move ?!it's better to kick every little shit out of my life.
I would go for the penthouse in Manhattan. Mainly because I'm finally getting good at tinder and that's quite the hot spot. Also I don't care for a big house.
