Where is a really chill place by the ocean that isn't expensive to live

I want to go somewhere by the sea and smoke herb and listen to reggae all day and maybe work as a bartender. I speak Enlish and Spanish and a bit of French, but am willing to learn a new language if the spot is aire enough.

  • If you just mean rent, Taghazout, Morocco.

If you factor not just rent but other costs of living, Penang, Malaysia. English is also widely spoken there.

  • OBX muthafukka. Off season, it’s cheap as fuck and everyone just claims unemployment if they do customer service. Water is perfect all year. But the weather can be a little fucked up. Thankfully, that area is prepared for it though.

  • Most places that are close to the water are not going to be cheap. I live in an ugly looking, impoverished, high crime town in NY that's close to the water and average housing costs are between 1,200 dollars to 1,700 dollars a month.

  • Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. We’ve had a house there for 20 years and we love it. If you speak Spanish, you should check it out.
