  • Hi!

There is a variant of down syndrom called mosaic down syndrome/MDS. MDS is not as developed as DS and the extra chromosome is in a fraction of the cells.

"With mosaic trisomy 21, the error occurs after fertilization at some point during early cell division. This means people with mosaic Down syndrome have two cell lines –– one with the normal number of chromosomes, and one with an extra number 21." - Kathleen Fergus 2016

But it could as well be possible for you to have DS. Down syndrome is a spectrum and you do not need to be unintelligent to have it. If you feel like having it tested, you should have the right to do so.

To have this tested you'l have to visit some sort of clinic or a hospital, it depends on what country/state you live in.

    • But you don't necessarily need to have any of these syndromes.
