Where do boys pee in locker rooms?

I know that "boys will be boys" and that boys are more open and bolder than women, but are my boys getting out of hand. I've known that my boys pee in the showers at school and at our pool, but it's recently come to my attention that they're peeing over the drains in the dressing room at the pool. Is this normal in the guys locker room? Guys where have you done it, have others seen you and gals do you know of guys that do this?

Relax mom, it's not just a boy thing, I'm a fifties something man and in locker rooms, especially at pools or waterparks where the floors are wet anyway, like most men, I just do it onto the floor. When a group of guys know each other, they're not going to hesitate to do so. Among strangers or (in the case of boys), when adults are around, we may step down an empty aisle, into corner or into the showers, but rarely do we find a urinal.

Thanks for the info, I'd probably have dismissed your post as as fiction or trolling until last year. When taking our preschooler to swimming lessons at our city pool last year, the little boys were peeing all over the dressing room. When my son said he had to go and I started off toward the restrooms, both of the female coaches advised me to just let him do it here, as that's where all the men do it. Knowing his brothers have done so for years, I felt obligated to let him do as the others and finally conceded. Ever since I let them go where they want.

At a waterpark, it's easy to pee just about anywhere and get away with it. I've peed through my shorts while waiting in line for a waterslide.

If I were at a pool or waterpark change room. and there were no urinals/toilets in the room, the nearest drain would be fair game. Not at all unreasonable, especially as wet floors are common.

If there were urinals/toilets, I might be a little bit hesitant to not use them. I'd pee in the drain if I were alone, if another guy was doing it, or if I thought that I could do it without anyone freaking out on me.

I've never seen it happen in a gym locker room.

Thanks for voting and commenting. I wasn't sure if my boys were going too far or not, I mean you'd never see such a thing in the ladies room, but I suspected it might not be so uncommon in boys rooms. Indeed, about 3 out of 4 of you said it's normal and as I've talked to other moms and they didn't seem surprised that boys are doing so and many were aware their sons do so and don't seem to have a problem with it. So I guess I'll look the other way.
