And so popular; there was always a party going one around him; he was the vortex of the action. I secretly resented him for that because I was an angry, young f$%ked up woman. But then the ugly duckling turned into a swan. When I ran into him in the late nineties, he was bald, depressed, lonely with a career going nowhere but still had that amazing personality. We've never looked back. His career really took off after we got together. Maybe he was revitalised by love.
