I was born to Brazilian parents while they were working in the US and I grew up back and forth between here and there. As an adult I also experienced life in both countries but I much prefer the life we live here!
It is! Keep in your travel plans, I think it's really worth it. The thing with traveling here presents the same issues as Australia and US, it's a huge country, so you've got to pick a few places to go according to your style, time frame and budget. The Northeast is a must, in my opinion! I've traveled to a few countries and Brazil is still one of the most beautiful, despite its socio-economic situation.
South America and Australia are the only continents I have left to visit... but first I am visiting Scotland and Japan this year. S.A. Might be next year
I almost bought tickets to Japan for my upcoming trip but the best prices had a stopover in the US, for which I'd need to have either my American passport renewed or a transit visa on my Brazilian one. Either way I'd have to travel to the consulate etc. etc. and there wasn't enough time. So I'm going somewhere I've already been to and that is a single nonstop flight away.
When you decide to come, if I'm around, feel free to ask for advice!
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Ha! I've still got Australia and Asia left!
