When you get thumbs down on social media sites you lose features

People don't agree with what you say so they thumb you down, causing you to lose features. Is this really right of them to do?

The people have spoken. I get it though i like to push people and the way i see it if people get mad at least its from a place of passion which is what i like to see from people. Keep posting whatever floats your boat my man. And try to make the point getting your stuff out there, dont do it for likes.

I don't know about that, but I do know if people like your comments on facebook, you get a small star next to your profile picture in a comment saying "Premium commenter" or some crap like that. Completely meaningless, but hey... social media!

Has social media really come to that? Other people get to decide how much someone else can do?

What kind of "features" are we even talking?

    • Well, for example on this site if someone keeps thumbing you down, you lose the ability to thumbs down or block users yourself. It's a punishment for not conforming. On a site called "Is it normal"

Well, hmm. I typically do not use the "thumb" feature on any site and only block users if they are legitimate spammers.

I guess it could be kind of a pain if someone did need to use it though.

You are choosing to use websites who’s creators implemented those features. Of course, there’s usually ways around it, and that’s the fun part
