Actually, I tend to crave certain forms of music. Most of my music is '70s-'80s-'90s music, with some recent and top 40's mixed in, and I believe I have a song for just about every mood I have known myself to be in because I went through a phase where I would research and download a song to fit each individual mood.
It's not as technical as it sounds. Usually I will listen to an emo song to compliment my mood, and slowly upgrade the music to a lighter tone, or if I am driving, set it to a very down song before I set out, put it on shuffle, and sing every song I know. Singing usually helps me feel better.
Singing always makes me feel good! No matter how sad or upset I am, singing always cheers me up somewhat, even if its only temporarily. I love driving by myself or being home alone so I can sing at the top of my lungs. However, my car windows are barely tinted so I probably look like a lunatic to everyone I drive by...especially at stop lights
No more ridiculous than those weirdos that have angry conversations on their bluetooths in the car. My car is a 1995 with a tape deck so it's mp3 compatible which is a blessing because I love being able to listen to my music in the car.
When you are feeling down do you like to listen to sad or happy music?
