She could still be "bad" even if she confesses, but her "badness" is obviously limited to petty "bad" things. Someone that is "bad" and has done real "bad" things don't openly say "I'm bad" to people in their life.
The most powerful weapon an evil person could have is their mask of innocence, and if she's flinging it away to appear bad, then she is showing she isn't really that bad.
