I don't drink that often, but what I drink does depend on a couple things. For instance, whether I'm alone or with company; if so, who they are, and what my mood is.
I do like a glass of wine in the evening after work occasionally to unwind, but not with the intention of getting a buzz. This is also what I'll drink in social settings if the situation calls for it.
On the very rare occasion that I do feel inclined to get drunk, I go for the strong stuff- namely vodka or my old favorite, the 100-proof version of a cinnamon schnapps liqueur called "Hot Damn." Good stuff.
It's just not ideal for me to drink copious amounts of something weak with the intention to get drunk when the same result could be accomplished in a few gulps of something strong, not to mention the ridiculous amount of restroom trips that a weaker drink would entail.
When drinking, do you perfer strong or light stuff?
