I'm sadly all over the place. From watching a movie to running, driving too. I've learned submersing myself in a pool makes the thoughts sharper and more coherent. It's so calming too, for some strange reason.
But the deepest is hands down when I'm lingering on the edges of neverland. I think I described this in a comment once, how sometimes I'm "aware" of falling asleep, to the point where random images and thoughts (beginning of dreaming) start to happen. Happens occasionally
"[T]he edge of neverland" was the inspiration for many of Dali's famous paintings; he would lay down on a sofa while holding a spoon, and right before he would fall asleep he would drop the spoon onto a plate. The sound would wake him up, causing the things he saw to remain fresh in his memory.
I absolutely revere you for posting this comment. I had no bloody idea this was an actual/common thing. Hypnagogia, phosphenes - the descriptions and personal accounts of people match mine perfectly.
When do you get your deepest thoughts?

now that sounds like a fun week, add some acid and see how long you can go before you absolutely pass out from exhaustion.
