    Mid to late teens. And it was a surprise, because I thought I hated kids. Seems I just hated my cousins as kids.

        That...wasn't the point of the comment but ok...

        I work in childcare. In my early teens, I thought I hated kids, but it turns out my cousins were so obnoxious as children, I just hated them. Past tense, not present.
