  • i accept what youre saying however what i say is true. it is billions of people. so far only westernised countries have accepted homosexuality almost fully. the rest of the world has not as yet and i doubt they will since most other countries are in fact run by religion and controlled by tradition. i agree that it is nobodies business what people decide to do and that there is no way to change peoples minds which i would never try to do. i dont care if someone is homosexual. i have a close friend who is one. it is really hard to explain why i dont agree with it. when i see two girls or two guys together and theyre kissing and holding each other to me it just looks wrong. now if they want to get married then fine. i dont really care about that because how does it affect me? the main thing i dont agree with is christian gay or gays from any other religion who are against homosexuals, claim to still believe in that religion and try to study it and wish to get married in a church. THAT is wrong. you can get married just about anywhere these days so why try to do it in a church in the eyes of a god who people are taught to believe doesnt agree with their lifestyle choices?
and while america is meant to be like that, please dont kid yourself because we know that it isnt. people arent treated equally and thats the same here in australia. i understand americas views on muslims and believe me i share some of them, however i dont believe they are all bad. one of my best friends is a muslim and he is very genuine. in australia it is racism and prejudice mostly against indians and asians, and for a while it was against europeans like me. in america it still happens to. there is so much racsim and blood shed there too. the only thing is, peopple seem to be caring more about equal rights for gays than they do in trying to fix the rest of the problem in our countries.

    • Marriage was originally a contract between two tribes, two countries, or wealthy land owners, kings, etc to expand on their land and wealth, love was not even part of the equation, Woman were considered bargaining chips and nothing more. In some countries Marriage is still this way, especially in Muslim dominated countries.

Technically the aspect of marriage was not even of Christian origin. In fact Marriage was considered a sin at one point, they viewed putting someone else up on a pedestal over God was a sin and punishable by death. To lust for a woman, or even to have sex without the intent to procreate was just as bad or even worse than killing someone. Some religions today still believe this way, even some of the Christian sects in the U.S.A practice this. (Some Mormons sects for example)

As for Gays, Christians were not always against Gays. Pope Julius the III was blatantly Gay and even married another man. During his time is was socially exceptable to be Gay or Bi.It wasn't until the the Puritan movement in Europe that sparked the whole anti-gay movement. So technically having a Gay marriage in a Christian Church is completely O.K. since it is the true tradition and part of the History of the Christian religion in general.

And I look at it this way, If God is all about love then why would he condemn someone for loving someone of the same sex? So let me get this straight, love unconditionally unless it is of the same sex. That does not sound like a true loving God to me.

In America we have Woman support groups for Women who got out of a controlling and abusive relationship with their Muslim Husbands. Your friend is a Male Muslim, so of course he sounds genuine. Ask him about Womans rights and I bet he will tell you that Women are supposed to be subordinate to their Husbands, ware veils, and have no rights other than to bare children. Every Muslim Man I have met believe that, and I have talked to alot of them.

If you think Muslims are so great, Muslims STONE their Wives for adultery, and even stone their children for being with someone of a different religion. Google it, there is a plethora of articles on the subject.

As for racism, that will never change. No matter how much Multiculturalism you try to push down every ones throats , the instinct to preserve their heritage, race, etc will always prevail. Even the most Liberal, pro-Multiculturalism activist in the world would die inside if their White daughter or Son Married a Black, regardless of what they say and how they act.You can't " propaganda" people out of millions of years of Evolutionary instinct.
