All modern humans are descended from a group of a few hundred humans who were the only ones to survive the eruption of a super volcano about 74 thousand years ago. Therefore no one is an unevolved monkey. However Homophobes do awful things and there's a reason homophobia's illegal in the UK.
So basically, people in the UK are higher evolved monkeys than American monkeys.
And Asian monkeys didn't get down from trees until they finished their math homework.

Actually the most recent common ancestor of every person on the planet is mitochondrial eve and it's believed she was alive roughly 200,000 years ago. Thanks for clarifying that for me though, i honestly thought there were unevolved monkeys posing as humans in our society instead of using it as a metaphor saying that their beliefs don't have a place in a contemporary, civilised society. :-P

I find new reasons to love the UK more and more everyday.
