If you know something ain't right, you know. That being said, there are too many outside factors that can manipulate the mind of a young child (from both sides). Any bit of doubt can fuck them over if they decide that it wasnt right years down the road.
I think it's wise for children to wait till they are a little bit older, when they can better articulate their thoughts and feelings.
