It has to do with society because they are part of society... A society isn't just you on your own, it's all the many different people that make it up too.

I don't think that's a threat to society; if you want to do consensual S&M and be a "degenerate" then fine. I think there's actual real harm being done by giving children the option to transition though, in the same way you don't let a babe infront of an open fire or that you care if someone is doing pedo shit. I think it's in a cateogry of serious harm.
