Before I first started hearing about trans children, I would've said no. But since the general consensus among child psychologists is that they are able to make that decision for themselves (after being assessed by a professional to ensure they're not just attention seeking), I agree with them. They're the professionals after all, what do I know?
Not to mention that when they talk about kids this young transitioning theyre not talking HRT and surgery. Theyre talking hormone blockers that only delay puberty to give the kids time for therapy to make sure this is the best solution for them. Stop taking them, puberty progresses. Keep taking them until the child is old enough to make an informed decision.
Yeah that's a good point. A lot of people who disagree with it are buying into the fear mongering spread by the media. Not all of them, but a lot of them.
