My best fantasy is this: I have billions of dollars. So I go to an African nation and build a school and a string of houses. Then, in the school, I get a bunch of locals and pay them 10 bucks an hour (I know that doesn't sound like much, but to an African, that's a fortune) to clean the school and bathrooms. I offer courses on plumbing in addition to basic math, reading and science programs. The people who graduate from the plumbing program get twenty bucks an hour to fix anything that goes wrong. The teachers at the school get fifteen dollars an hour. (Principles make the same amount.)
When I go back there a year later, everyone has bought enough food to feed themselves and their families, thus improving their lives and the lives of local farmers. Disease brought on by unclean water in the area has been eradicated thanks to the improved sanitation in the school and the homes. Now that the people are educated, the health has improved, and the economy has strengthened, some people decide to go to college or start their own businesses. So we have to hire more people, thus pumping more and more money and skills into the region's economy.
Everyone is happy. Its not feasible, that's why its a fantasy.
