Just because something subjective does not mean it is immune to explanation.
Anyway, people in the past looked to the stars for metaphysical answers. The problem with looking outside for answers is that you are making yourself blind to the fact that all answers come from within. They come in the form of understanding. To go from a point of understanding less to a point of understanding more we use a tool. The tool we use to attain a better understanding of anything is the mind which is located in
the brain.
So yes, I criticize people that make using your brain less sound appealing.
Also, I am unsure as to whether you miss-typed or if the following statement was intentional: "we are all looking for answers in the same unanswerable questions." If it was intended, allow me to rebut. If the questions are unanswerable, what then, is the point in trying to get answers from the stars? That is a contradiction.
Fair enough. One can explain their likes easily enough. I just don't think the question adds much to the conversation. It sounds insulting. Like, why on earth do you like beets? Beets are gross! Explain yourself. Um...
Anyway, sorry if I am not articulating myself very well. My only pet peeve is that people who criticize astrology often act like those who do not chastise it, are not capable of a rational discussion. I see this with a lot of issues. If you are not an ass about the opposing view, you must be an idiot.
I never meant the answers were literally in the stars. When we look up, we look for inspiration. People have forgotten how to do this. We are not in touch with the world around us. And yes, the answers can only be found within. But we still need to k ow what questions to ask. And this is where one seeks outside guidance. The stars are a guide. Religious texts are guides. Even science books are a guide.
You asked what the point is. Well, that is not for me to tell you. There is no answer other than the simple truth we are human. It's what we do. We try to wrap our brains around the reality of our existence. How we do that is an internal process. We often seek outside help, and there are plenty of people who want to tell you what it means to them, but No one really knows.
whats you sign?
