Whats the sickest or most twisted horror movie of all time?

For me it was the human centipede.

Is It Normal?

  • Human centipede was insanely gross, but pretty stupid if you ask me...

The scariest one for me is The Thing. Not cause of the movie itself, the jump scares, visuals, or whatever, but the concept itself! The Milky way a pretty big galaxy... parasites like that could exist!

Forget vampires, zombies, demons, psychopaths, etc... that's small fry on a very small scale.
But the Thing... such a being could exist. It lands on a planet and starts corrupting DNA, changing the host and spreading. It's also intelligent enough to try to protect itself and attack others to increase it's growth rate.

That's the scariest part. That fucking thing might be very real and be out there in the endless cosmos...

    • I’d give it a close second. Mordem may be worse depending on perspective.

      • August underground stuff is really poor quality torture porn. I couldn't really sit through any of it. It's plotless & pointless & just made for shock value. Serbian film falls under the same vein & there's tons of shit indies that are way worse IMO, although mum & dad was equally shocking, but way funnier.

There's way more disturbing films out there...french exploit, particularly martyrs, inside & irreversible are really difficult to watch. I actually haven't watched martyrs, but I hear it's life ruining. Irreversible was fucking AWFUL.

Out of every horror I've watched though, hereditary was the most disturbing for me. A lot of people hated that movie, or thought it was meh, but it really got under my skin.

        • August undergrounds mordem is fucked if you pay enough attention to it. Irreversible is just rough.

Hereditary, is fantastic. I have no idea why it got some of that hate, it was great.

        • It's considered one of the worst...not only for the graphic violence & the criminal trial...but (unfortunately) the fact that the animal deaths are real. That movie was made before there were any laws about the humane treatment of animals in movies.

I haven't watched it because animal torture is a huge no for me, but apparently they rip apart a live sea turtle & it was 100% real :(

          • They did a monkey death scene twice. I guess the first one died of shock so it wasnt brutal enough.

        • That one is bad but it’s all pretty subjective. Mordem and Serbian film are far worse in my opinion.

          • But Serbian film was just simulated horror. In cannibal corpse it was real animals being killed. Some of the animal death scenes were even filmed twice.

            • They’re just animals. I cut the heads off chickens with an axe without care, but I did find Serbian film uncomfortable at times.

The themes and content are much more disturbing, it’s being simulated or not is irrelevant really. I’m thinking in terms of what the content is depicting.

        • I remember the director was arrested for a few days until people got a hold of the actors because the critics thought the found footage parts of the movie were real.

  • One of the SAW movies, I love seeing blood pour out of people for me it is satisfying and funny.

  • I watched Tusk after seeing someone here talk about it and it got to me more than most movies do.

I also wanna mention The Greasy Strangler. Not that it's even really disturbing or scary, but it's a horror movie that's really absurd and funny and I highly recommend it

    • The Greasy Strangler is so underrated. I loved it. Elijah Wood has done a few great little indie films that never seemed to take off, but I enjoy them much more than Lord of the Rings

  • Centipede was just gross. Like it was fucked up but it was 100% shock value. at that point 2 girls 1 cup was a more graphic and twisted movie in the same vein.

My friend was amping up that midsommar movie as being super great but after she got me to watch it it was honestly just a regular slasher movie with art film vibes. That was the biggest nope the fuck out moment Ive ever seen where they go to some random isolated village and everybodys playing flutes and laughing at them. 9 day festival that happens every 90 years? Fuck no, nothing good is happening at that shit.

  • I saw the southpark episode on it I never saw the real movie though. I guess for me the movie that creeped me out the most was I see dead people. The ring was bad too because i was a kid and it said if you watch this video you will die and it shows you the video. Gave me nightmarws

  • A Serbian Film was pretty nasty, The Girl Next Door was pretty fucked up, and Antichrist sounds dumb but if I remember correctly the dudes wife smashes his dick and jerks him off until he cums blood. All three are pretty fucked, I recommend them if you like that weird shit haha
