Personally I'd love to live in a somewhat modernized log cabin with enough space for a flower garden, and located far enough from civilization to be surrounded by nature yet close enough to buy what I need and visit other people. What about you?
I'd want my dream house to be in the location of somewhere sunny!
It would be small, and kind of like a hybrid of a modern house and a log cabin. I would want a river by my house to go swimming and fishing. I would also, like said, want to have somewhere nice to eat meals, like somewhere in a balcony. I'm not really interested in having a SO, or kids, so it would just be me, maybe if they vist, a couple of friends as well. My house would be simple, and my friends and family, other neighbors wouldn't be far, just about half a mile from my cozy cabin-ish-modern-ish home!
I've always wanted one of those homes that seemed completely ridiculous to anyone who didn't live there.
I guess my dream home goes something like this...it would be a mix of types of homes like a perfect example of this weird mix would be the Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona. Like I may have started it as a chateau and decided I wanted to add a wing that was more modern.
The house would be on the north shores of Chicago with a yard that leads right out onto the beach. the house would have a massive library like the ones you see in really wealthy men's homes in the movies. It would also have a solarium that was 15 feet tall with tiers and was accessible from the upstairs of the house. Oversized terrace facing Lake Michigan so I could eat breakfast with my family and enjoy the weather.
I love the idea of each wing of the house having a different theme. like the modern wing would be a minimalistic approach and it would house all my favorite art and the chateau side would be more of a european summer home feel.
I want so much more for the house but I can't write it all right now
