I would get the police involved. Why? This person may have DUIs. Additionally, I would pursue litigation if they did have DUIs and were drunk when they hit me. I might win. I might not. But, I wouldn't feel good about not protesting this person driving around if they hit someone again and seriously injured them or killed them.
This poll is for ANY accident, not just car accident. Just an example: What if you were leaving a restaurant and tripped on a loose paver; you banged your knee a bit, but nothing serious or long term?
