What would you do if your IQ suddenly dropped below 70?

  • I'd love to experience that if it wasn't permanent. Obviously if it was permanent then it'd be absolutely devastating, but I'd love to see what it'd be like if it was only for a day or so. It'd be interesting cos anything you've learned already you should remember cos there'd be nothing wrong with your memory, and so you should remember how you used to understand it all as well. But would that understanding you once had gradually become more vague and confusing? Would your understanding of the entire world as you knew it just fade away? It'd be interesting to experience (though obviously only if it was temporary).

I'd probably try desperately to cling to everything I once knew by frantically revising all the stuff I already know so that I don't forget it. If I eventually gave up then I guess I'd just stick to the hobbies I have that don't require much brain power, like movies and video games.

      • Yeah I know losing IQ points would have no effect on my memory, but if I did eventually forget it anyway then a lot of it could be too complicated to relearn in the future.
