I wasn't raised in a religious household, by the way. My Mom was an absent career woman and my Dad was in the Navy and I was able-bodied so in his head there wasn't a reason for me not to care for my siblings and keep a nice house for him. I don't see a reason why I shouldn't have either.
Then that means you are a strong womam, in my opinion. Aslong as he is offering to help when he can, then I think it is pretty fair, but if he has always relied on you doing those works, then I think that isn't fair. Luckily you were raised the way you were, lucky for you and him.
I think it's great the way you have turned out, I like the "If I want something done, I should do it" way you think, most people state that they live that way, but only a few really live that way, which is quite sad since it is a very good trait to have to show you can take care of yourself.
What would you do if the girl of your dreams told you she wants this?
