These people get themselves into these messes, and they will just replace him with another tyrant. Humans simply cannot govern themselves (especially in hot climates, for some reason), and I remain neutral in all such matters.
And the fact that this guy has retained enough power to be a threat means that most of the country must be supporting him, or else the military would not obey him. It is not like he is single-handedly going around murdering people.

What gives nations the right to govern themselves or even exist? Is sheer strength the virtue of existence?
"Human beings can't govern themselves"
In their natural state no but given knowledge man can form a nearly perfect government as he did with the Roman state.
