It means basically, over-dresses the part and knows fuckall about the music.
You don't have to memorize the lyrics, or even change your dress style just because you like certain artists or wanna hang out with certain sub-cultures.
We had kids on tours coming up to sign shit and I'd never say they listen to the stuff we played, so you never know.
