What will happen to the bts group if a tragedy happens?

What happens to BTS if something not very good happens to one of the members. (The original talked about death, but for me it is very cruel.)I came across this strange question in the language practice chat while communicating with foreign K-popers and was very surprised, rather even shocked.
..when I started asking why such terrifying questions, they said that everything is quite logical and we should not be surprised, since our life is completely unpredictable and we do not know what burden idols carry in their souls. ..They even said that such successful and famous people rarely end up well (Excuse me?)and gave an example of a couple of people (not just Asians) But when I asked why exactly BTS they said that if something bad happens to one of the members, it will turn the whole of Korea.
It is strange that the Koreans themselves started a conversation on this topic (!)
I have only heard from one side and would like to know what other people think.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

They would either disband, continue without the member, or find a replacement. Both have happened with other musical groups when one member either willingly or unwillingly leaves the group.

From what little I know of the group, BTS seems like the type of group to respect the person enough to not replace them.

They value each other very much and I think that they will not be able to continue their activities and 100% will not be able to replace anyone. As they themselves say, 7-1 = 0. Thank you for your reply. ..

Some celebrities are able to retire happily once the peak of their fame is over, just look at Enya in her Irish castle singing to her beloved cats. Perhaps BTS will do something similar when they are old and grey.

Were these people suggesting that the rest of BTS would commit ritualistic suicide if one member died or something? And what did they mean by “it will turn the whole of Korea”? They sound like lunatics to me, maybe they walk the streets of Seoul wearing cardboard signs warning, “The End Is Nigh”.

Oh, I thought they were crazy too. They really talked about suicide, drug addiction, depression, and even alcoholism. Well, as far as Korea is concerned, I think it would really be a big shock. BTS are very influential and respected in their country. Thank you very much for your answer.

It will be complete chaos. Their entire fandom will be absolutely devastated. They may continue with the rest of the members or disband, I don't know but that's up to them and the company they are with. And it will be BIG news.

Shit happens. Honestly, I'm much more concerned about whether, or not bad things happen to people I know than obsessing over celebrities I will never meet.

    They'll likely disband.

This is the most benign thing I've heard. Koreans wrote such horrors there, it became really scary.

It's just my thinking. They'll likely do it similarly to how Dio broke up.
