You await the day of judgement in the cleansing fires of the Lord. When the day comes, the Lord will bid you to rise once again for the judgement. Then, those who are deemed worthy will go to Heaven, to be with God, and those who are deemed unworthy will go to Hell, with the Devil and his evil band. Unless, you are a saint, in which case, you will go directly to Heaven.
I do not know who will go to Heaven; I am not the judge of that. As Paul said,
"Therefore judge not before the time; until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every man have praise from God."

In order to get into Heaven, one must be wise, one must make good in the world, one must have faith, one must show their faith through works, and one must confess their sins to the Lord.

God sent His only son down on to Earth as a human to suffer as humans do. He cares deeply about His creations; He just doesn't want them to be evil. Since people have been corrupted by sin, God decided that He needed to help guide the people with moral teachings, but people didn't listen. God decided to send His own son to die for the sins of the humans, yet we still stray from the path of good. Now, he awaits the day when he will defeat sin and the Devil once and for all, freeing humans from his sinful grasp. He wouldn't go through such a large amount of work if he only wanted adoration.
