What weapons if any do you carry regularly?
I asked about this years ago and got a good response, wanted to ask again since I don't post enough.

I had a friend with this crazy pistol that either took regular ammo or .410 shotshells. When we were shooting at the gravel pit with the other rednecks he'd use regular ammo but then he'd sneak in a .410, toss a bottle in the air and shoot it on the fly.
It was hilarious to see the reactions of the locals thinking he'd shot the bottle with a single bullet and truth be told the guy had some major skills with a pistol because it's not easy even with a shotshell.
Ah, I shot my first shotgun a few weeks ago (boyfriend and I go on dates to the gun range lol). I absolutely loved it.
I'm still a novice, but I think the issue I have is my grip is weak, because when guns are too heavy my hands drift from the kickback; but I noticed with guns I can press again my shoulder properly, my aim is accurate to the point I can successfully shoot the eyes off my paper targets. Or if the gun is light, my accuracy goes up some as well, but not as drastic as pressing it against my body.
Nah not everybody but most of the people who are you'd never know and are responsible with it.
Why should I suffer because someone else wants to hurt me and can do so with impunity? Why should I lose my rights because someone else broke the law or might break the law?
Is it weird that I have a personal dream to get a home defence cannon. Like a civil war era cannon just ready to fire at a minutes notice.
Oh shit someones breaking in! *giddy*
Burglar bust down the front door.
Me standing there with a lit fuse stick.
An hour later cops are cleaning up the remains of a would be robber.
It's nice to dream though.
I don't have permission to carry, or even store any of my weapons in Germany. I would need to get a ton of documents done, pay an arm and a leg and generally make life harder for myself. So in Germany I don't carry weapons.
In Bulgaria, sometimes I carry my pistol for extra protection from gypsies, or fake police. That's only when I travel about more.
Thanks. That sounds like it would be very good not only for convenience, but actually so that one shot would be less likely to kill an assailant.
I don't really care if I kill someone who assaults me or invades my home for moral reasons, as they would have it coming imo, but legally speaking, it might be easier to defend injuring in self defense than killing in self defense.
You never know when firing a gun if it will injure or kill. You could get lucky or unlucky and instantly kill them.
There have been times where people have taken a dozen shots and still are able to move (for a while but they can still beat/ kill you in that time)
That's why if you fear for your life fire until you are satisfied with the results. People tend to get tunnel vision when it comes to fighting for their lives so its mostly played off as basic self defence in courts.
I'm satisfied with the results if the person is on the ground and hands are visibly away from weapon. If not pointing the gun towards them until you feel safe is always an option. Fun tip if you hear sirens or an order put the gun on the ground so you dont get shot.
Depending on your state it's better to kill someone than injure them because dead people can't sue.
Other states might prosecute for hitting an intruder in your home with a bat.
In europe you'd be required by law to run away screaming and give an intruder your wallet and keys by law first.
Okay. Also, no matter how many times I hear about the weapons and self defense laws in certain European countries, it never fails to make my blood boil. Imo, defense of self and property from aggressors should be an basic, inalienable right. All responsibility falls on the person who started shit.
Guns are effective. Pull out a gun and they will run... or fire back. That's why you should be the first one to shoot in those situations.
Knife throwing is really nech though isnt it. I mean yeah you could ninja them or you could just use the knife like a normal person which unless you were trained to combat this you dont go near the person.
Theres a reason why the effective range of a knife is 20-25ft (it's not because of throwing) it's because you can close the distance pretty easily.
