What was your favorite year yet?
Definitely not 2020. My favorite year is 2012. I was still innocent at that time and I get to visit my grandparents from a different country. I miss my innocent childhood years.

I dunno. The mid to late 90s were a fun party time. 2000 was awesome, that's when I had my daughter. 2015 was epic, that's when I left my husband and a few months later met my boyfriend. 2020 has had its ups and downs. I had to put one of dogs to sleep but the cat came back, so that's awesome 😁
😪 m'lady Bella. She was only a few months away from 10. She started acting strange for a few days, not really eating or drinking, not jumping up out of a dead sleep at the mention of treats, huge red flags,, I took her to the vet on a Monday and got some meds to increase her appetite and also help with her failing hind quarters. She just got worse over the next few days. It's only 4 stairs in and out of the house but I had to help and hold her rear, then by Friday, Jan. 31st, (also the day I celebrate my boys estimated birthday with puppy ice cream) she was just milling aimlessly around the house with her head down, walking into walls, standing with her head in corners, not barking at everything, and then the seizures started. She had 4 that day and I took her back to the vet. Very aggressive cancer and nothing could be done. She was gone that afternoon 😢😢😭😭
About a month ago, my lil brothers dog had the same thing, minus the seizures and he had to be put down. An old friend of my mothers saw the Facebook post and offered a gift...shes a glassblower and makes lovely things with animals or peoples ashes mixed in....I'm debating if I want to do it or not. Heavenlyglassokc. pretty stuff
8 is my lucky number. I have 0 memory of 1988, but 1998 I won an arcade gaming championship tournament surrounded by friends, 2008 I graduated from college and my friends and I toured many places took part in many adventures, 2018 I got my promotion was dating my coworker, she put my life back in order. So yeah all years with 8s have been good for me. As for bad years, 2002 was the worst, I have nothing but bad memories from that year, tho nothing am gonna share here. 2010-2016 were hard times too, life was stressful , over burdened with work and responsibility and losing contacts with most of my friends, was a really messed up phase. Between 1998, 2008, 2018 if I had to choose the best year ever I will go with 2008.
I've had the opposite experience. 1998 was when my parents filed for divorce, 2008 was nothing but struggling with bullies and the stupid meds I was on that did nothing but harm for me (and I also lost my grandpa, and got injured in an accident which left me pretty useless for awhile), and in 2018 one of my closest friendships started to fall apart, I got into it big time with a family member, lost one of my cats, and the whole year was just blah. 2017 was so great for me, and 2018 was a huge letdown from that.
So, my 8 years have all sucked ass. I actually don't think I've had a consistent string of years that ended in a specific number that went that great for me, lol.
I think probably 2017. After the turmoil-filled shit show that was 2016 (multiple losses, lots of family drama, etc.), 2017 was a breath of fresh air. Made new friends, started gaining some confidence, and everything just felt like it was finally starting to come together.
2015 was good, too, as that was when I got off of the stupid antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds I was put on several years before at around 12 or 13 and was able to turn my life around and make a lot of improvements. However, there were still losses and family drama, and I nearly committed suicide (what led to me getting of the meds, which were causing me to be horribly depressed).
2020 started off great, then this stupid corona bullshit had to fuck everything up, but otherwise it's going pretty well for me. After the shitshow that was 2019, it's also a breath of fresh air.
Conversely, 1998-1999, 2007-2014, 2016, and 2018-2019 have all sucked for the most part.
