Ok, well maybe I should give more information. As a small child I had a disease that left me hospitalized and we lived in a trailer park with no fence and a trashed playground. Maybe it was because it was one of those rare moments that we were all happy.

You'e mother sounds like my mom. She would sing songs like that for my sister and I.
