I see shopping as a "Let's go shopping for the whole afternoon" with my girlfriends kind of thing.

    • I actually enjoy shopping myself. However, I don't go mad and buy things I don't need and if I am buying clothes I am super fussy especially with jeans. I need to go to all the shops and get the best pair for me. It can take 4 hours and I come out with nothing because I don't like what I saw. However, it means when I do get something I get what looks good on me. I don't like to waste money, I hate wasting money but when I do decide to by something I like to spend enough money to buy quality stuff. I would rather have less clothes and other stuff but quality clothes and stuff.

I take ages to decide to actually buy something, I don't spend any extra on things I don't need. Most ofthe times I go shopping I come home empty handed, but I like the "spend time with my girlfriends and have a coffee" part of going shopping

        • Yes, I take ages also to decide to actually buy something as well. I have had some funny things happen when I have been shopping though.

I happen to live across the road from a mall right now and I go frequently, mostly to walk laps around it but I have bought a few things. Most recently, a book, a necklace for my daughter, and a dress shirt for my husband. I got some generic shirts on sale for myself. There's a mattress store that I had actually bought 2 beds from around 2-3 years ago when they had a satellite shop that was in the town I used to live in so I see the mattress guy and sometimes chat with him. There's a really annoying lady that works at Bath and Body. I am trying to think up a plan that would allow me to stay in the mall overnight undetected (no reason other than just to do it...not trying to steal anything).

This mall is very 80's and is mostly empty so it has a certain draw or charm to it for me.

The kind that almost never goes and considers shopping to be a detested chore. And avoids it as much as possible.

I love malls. I can spend hours in them. It's kind if a shame that they're dying out. Ive seen so many malls close forever. People seem to prefer online shopping and big box stores like Target and Walmart, so there's going to be a day where malls will no longer exist.

    • I love malls as well. They still seem to be popular where I live and the thing I love about malls is I just find them easier for shopping. If you want a new pair of jeans for example you can just go to the mall and actually try things on before you buy them and you can try a lot of different pairs from a lot of different shops on in a short space of time compared to online shopping. You know what they are like on you before you buy them. You also have the clothes instantly and you don't have to go to the trouble of sending stuff back like you do online because you don't like the pair you ordered. I just feel it is much easier to go out and make the trip to the mall than buy online.

People don't want to go out anymore. I don't understand why. You're right its so much easier to just try on the outfits in the store than to waste time sending them back in the mail. I've ordered dresses online but they turned out to be sizes bigger than what their sizing chart says. It's s pain. Lol

        • Yeah and that is the thing men's clothes and from what I understand women's clothes are the same in the way you can be this size in say one brand of jeans but you are a different size in some other brand. You can't just say you are this size every single time even. Also I like to look around and buy what fits me best. I like my clothes to fit well.

I hate buying stuff. I wear worn out clothes, drive an old car, and maintain things so they never break.

    • I am a very slow shopper especially when it comes to jeans. I like to take my time, look at all my options and find clothes that fit my body well. I can spend hours looking for a pair of jeans and then come out with nothing if I don't like anything. I hate to waste money but when I do buy something I like to by what is right for me and quality stuff.

I haven't been in a shopping mall for about 25 years. I don't usually shop online either. I go to shops.
