As for common knowledge in the 60's, uh, not exactly. The tobacco companies knew. The general public didn't. The US military was still giving cigarettes to GI's into the 70's and every cool person smoked this or that kind of cigarette. I was there. You weren't. You could smoke anywhere. The movies, the supermarket, in a restaurant or a store. Anywhere!
So excuse the fuck out of me if I'm having a really tough time quitting one of the most addictive drugs on the planet, after some 50 YEARS on that drug. But I'll sure keep my knees together.
I'm saying, extend the same allowances to others that you give yourself. Also, saying 'told ya so' or 'shouldn't have' is worthless because it 'IS' so you must deal with the present facts, not the ideal past.
Yeah bud, there is several indoor establishments where I live where smoking is permitted. Doesn't make a case for it being healthy.
And now you can quit smoking. It's of no danger to your health to do it besides temporary minor irritation, much less troublesome than giving a baby you carried for 9 months away or being forced to have an abortion! You only stand to gain from quitting!
You can't even quit cigarettes and you're sitting here demanding abortions or adoptions? I can't give up smoking yet you should give up your baby, duh!!
Adoption sounds nice but many families will not allow it or create a guilt trip barring it. It's not a given that anyone under 18 can legally do an adoption without parental consent.
I know you're just jealous due to your preference of underage girls, and the fact you would have to go the basement municipal court to divorce your imaginary wife in order to sail the world with this girl, 54 years your junior.

Maybe she was raped? Maybe she believed the many pregnancy myths still very much alive? Maybe she couldn't ask her parents to CONSENT (yes it's required)to give her birth control? Maybe she did ask but got nowhere? Maybe she was scared to death to ask permission for an abortion? Maybe she was in denial too long to even get one?
You are asking a 15 yr old to make, and be legally able to carry out, these decisions. Faulting her completely for any outcome.
