What to do when turning 21? should i drink?

Okay so tommorow I am turning 21 years old. Not that anyone cares. The more important question is, should I try some booze. I never have before ever. The Law wasn't the only thing keeping me from doing it sooner, I just didn't think the appeal was worth risking getting caught but how that it's legal, maybe I should try?

Bonus question, what should I expect and how should I do it to make my drunk-virginity memorable?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

There's nothing wrong with it if it's something you'd like to experience. I'm not a huge drinker so I don't know a lot about the types of drinks and just usually have a mixed drink that sounds and/or looks good.

This is completely a personal choice, but I prefer not to have more than one drink and if the drink is strong and in a huge glass, I usually won't finish it. I personally get headaches otherwise and hate the feeling that comes after being tipsy (which to me is like having the stomach flu).

Definitely don't chug it or drunk it too fast and just sip.

    Happy 21st Birthday! I hope it's a great one!

If you have got this far without starting to drink, just carry on.
There is really nothing to be said for it.
The least bad outcome is that you get a taste for it in moderation and spend quite a lot of money on it and you become boring once you've had a glass or two with friends. The worst outcome is that you end up a hopeless alcoholic whose life is cut short by drink.
Believe me, it's not a pretty sight.

When I turned 21, I threw a birthday party and invited everyone I knew: friends, frenemies...no enemies though as I didn't want to ruin that moment.

It was probably the last time I celebrated my birthday at such an epic scale. I am a private person and I think it's a bit silly for adults to be celebrating their birthdays.

But my twenty-first birthday will always go down in my memories as the most amazing moment.

Oh, I have been drinking alcohol since I turned at least 17. But I didn't celebrate my twenty-first birthday with alcohol. A little beer for my friends, yes. But that wasn't the key focus.

I honestly can't imagine not having ever tasted alcohol at the age of twenty.

Idk I never have really had the urge. Usually I'm not friend with that sort of person either. Not to mention how many people at my school get busted for underage. The cops here are relentless on that shit.

I dunno, I've been allowed to drink alcohol since I was a tot. I remember drinking the tiniest bit of wine, probably less half a shot glass full, from a wine glass as a small child whenever my family had more formal family dinners for Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Drinking has never been a big deal in my family of origin.

Yeah well if your were raised like that it makes sense, but as you know, my family is quite a but different lol. They are very anti-alcohal.

That's crazy. Yeah, people make too much of a big deal about booze.
